Nico Paz is one of the finest young talents to have come through the Real Madrid youth setup in recent years.

The 19-year-old has been tipped for a bright future in the game and made his first-team debut this past season, even scoring a goal in his eight senior appearances.

However, as we head into the summer transfer window, it appears that the young Argentine prodigy is starting to have some concerns about what lies next for him.

Nico Paz has growing doubts

Indeed, as per Jose Felix Diaz of MARCA, Nico Paz is having doubts about whether to continue at Real Madrid or seek a transfer elsewhere amid interest from several clubs this summer.

As mentioned earlier, the 19-year-old broke into the senior setup last season, but did not feature even once after January when he played in the Copa del Rey clash against Arandina, with manager Carlo Ancelotti seeing something that did not please him.

Back with Castilla for the remainder of the campaign, Nico ended the season well, finishing with ten goals in 29 matches for Raul’s team.

However, with the summer window upon us, the young attacking midfielder is in doubt about spending another season with Castilla or moving on from the club.

After all, despite his potential, a spot in Ancelotti’s team is difficult to earn, especially given the plethora of midfield talent available in the senior squad.

Even though reports suggested that Nico could be in contention for a first-team promotion if Dani Ceballos leaves, minutes would still be hard to come by and he would have to make do with playing for Castilla again.

Real Madrid, for their part, count on Nico, but would be open to the possibility of him developing abroad before returning to the club if an opportunity presented itself.

For now, Nico will do the pre-season with the senior team but with interest from clubs like Leganes, among others, he will assess his options and make a decision over his next move.
