Real Madrid believe they already have their Toni Kroos replacement | OneFootball

An insight into the plans of the powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid to account for the loss of Toni Kroos has on Saturday been forthcoming.

Iconic midfield conductor Kroos, of course, opted to bring a close to not only his stint in the colours of Real Madrid, but his career as a whole, this summer.

Despite being just 34 years of age, the German opted to go out on his own terms, at the very top of his game.

With Kroos having continued to play an absolutely pivotal role in Spain’s capital last season, it is therefore safe to say that something of a hole will be left in Carlo Ancelotti’s engine room ranks in 2024/25.

It had in turn been suggested by some sources in the media that a replacement could be sought out on the market.

This, however, will not prove to be the case.

This comes with Real Madrid firmly of the opinion that Kroos’ perfect replacement is already present at the club.

As per a report from Diario AS:

‘Madrid will not go looking for another Kroos on the market. The solution is at home, in the boots of Federico Valverde. As well as Kroos’ number, Valverde will inherit part of his duties.’

Thoroughly impressed by their Uruguayan standout’s ability to control games at the Copa América, Los Blancos are ready to hand the keys of their midfield to Valverde this summer.
