Paris Saint-Germain have been monitoring Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich for months and almost signed him last summer. Now, they’re making another push to land him, with one pundit urging them to secure the veteran.

Journalist Christian Falk recently reported that PSG’s interest in Kimmich is still strong, especially since his contract situation at Bayern remains unresolved. The Ligue 1 side targeted him last summer, but Kimmich chose not to make the move.

Now, PSG’s interest is renewed, but they’re facing competition from Inter Milan and Liverpool. Meanwhile, Bayern and Kimmich are still in talks, with a contract extension remaining on the table.

Moreover, Mick Brown, the former chief scout for Manchester United and Blackburn, stated to Football Insider that Arsenal are “working hard” to persuade the Bayern Munich star to move to the Emirates, as he remains one of their top targets.

French football Pierre Menes stated that because the 30-year-old will be a free agent and brings various traits on and off the pitch, it’s a signing that he validates. As a result, he’s urging PSG to get this move over the finish line this summer.

“It no longer seems to be the policy today to bring in an established player with almost star status,” Menes said (h/t Le10Sport). “Indeed, what works in his favor is his versatility and the fact that he could be an alternative to Hakimi and other players.

“He remains a player with a strong character; would he thrive in an environment like PSG? It’s hard to say and know. But the fact that he’s free could indeed be a very, very good move.”

On Monday, TEAMtalk reported that Inter Milan are becoming a strong contender to sign Kimmich, who is entering the final months of his contract.

The report also mentions that while Inter haven’t made an official offer yet, they are in talks about presenting a tempting four-year deal. If this move happens, Inter would become a serious threat to land him.

Inter are reportedly prepared to offer Kimmich around €6 million (£4.95 million, $6.2 million) per year—roughly £95,000 a week—similar to what Hakan Calhanoglu currently earns, although Calhanoglu is expected to leave the club this summer.
