League leaders Bayern Munich will be taking on Wolfsburg on Saturday at the Allianz Arena for matchday 18 in the Bundesliga.

Vincent Kompany’s side are four points clear at the top of the table with Bayer Leverkusen currently occupying second place.

On Wednesday they managed to defeat Hoffenheim 5-0 with Leroy Sane scoring two as well as Raphael Guerreiro, Harry Kane and Serge Gnabry getting themselves on the scoresheet.

This win was the fourth time in their last six matches that they have scored at least four goals, meaning they have now scored 53 goals in just 17 matches.

Bayern have also been impressively defensively by keeping nine clean sheets in their league campaign so far.

Their opponents are currently in seventh place in the table and are chasing a Champions League spot.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side are just three points behind a top four place.

This gap was closed when they beat Borussia Monchengladbach 5-1 on Tuesday.

As well as Bayern, Wolfsburg have been scoring plenty of goals in recent weeks as they have scored 21 times in their last seven matches.

They have also lost just two away matches this season.

Bayern will be without goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, as well as defenders Hiroki Ito and Sacha Boey.

Vincent Kompany is assuming that Josip Stanisic will be back in the squad but has stressed that there must be patience with him and his fitness.

Joao Palhinha is set to miss out with injury until February.

As for Wolfsburg, they will be without forwards Jakub Kaminski and Bartosz Bialek until late January.

Defender Rogerio and goalkeeper Niklas Klinger will also miss out.

Midfielders Kevin Paredes and Lovro Majer are also unavailable.
