Tommaso Pobega is leaving Milan and he went on social media to say goodbye.
Pobega is all set to join Bologna on a 1m loan with a 7m obligation to buy, thus ending his life-long journey as a Milan player, which started over a decade ago.
On Monday evening, the 26-year-old wrote his farewell message on Instagram:
“I’m struggling to find the right words… On July 3rd, 2013, I took my first step into Milanello – a step that marked my entrance into a special family: AC Milan. I moved here as a child full of dreams and hopes, but also with many fears and uncertainties. Here, I had the privilege of meeting countless people of such human depth that it’s rare to find in other environments.
“Each of them taught me and gave me something that I will carry with me forever. I can only thank every single one of them: all the tutors at the boarding school, all the coaches, all the fitness trainers, all the team managers, all the doctors, all the physiotherapists, all the people working at Vismara and Milanello, all the people working behind the scenes at Casa Milan, all the club executives, and all the fans who made it possible for me to live this dream.
“Last but certainly not least, I want to thank all my teammates with whom I had the honor of training and fighting on the pitch. Each of you has given me so much, and I hope I have done the same for you.
“Today I say goodbye to this family as a man, aware that I always gave my best. Despite the difficulties, I am proud to have achieved some goals that I wouldn’t have even dreamed of as a child. THANK YOU, AC MILAN!”
