AC Milan got another victory in the Champions League against Slovan Bratislava last night, making it three in a row in the competition.
Milan emerged 3-2 victors at the National Stadium in the Slovakian capital, with Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leao and Tammy Abraham all getting their names on the scoresheet in a five-goal thriller.
However, the issue is that the narrative afterwards has been quite negative, mostly because it should never have been such a rollercoaster game to begin with, with all respect to Slovan.
The team coached by Vladimir Weiss were bottom of the Champions League table with four defeats from four, 15 goals conceded and only two goals scored, yet last night they remained in the game throughout.
Nonetheless, a win is a win and it continues the path towards a top eight spot. Below is how the players reacted on social media.
Fofana: “Serious, Focused, and Applied.”
Leao: “Important victory. Fofana: thanks 1000 times.”
