The big day arrives, and FC Barcelona are now ready to take on Inter Milan at the San Siro. For La Blaugrana, this is now arguably their biggest game of the season so far. In theory, Barcelona are now just one game away from reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League after a 3-3 draw in the first leg.
Heading into this game, there was a lot of thinking that Hansi Flick needed to do. Now, however, it is time to put whatever game plan he has into action and ensure that Barcelona end up reaching the final by beating Inter Milan at their home stadium.
To do that, however, the Barcelona coach needs eleven reliable players to start the game for him. Now, with the official announcement of the line-up, it is clear that he has put forward the strongest possible team that he could for this grand fixture.
Here is the official Barcelona starting eleven to take on Inter Milan.
In goal, Wojciech Szczesny retains his place as Flick’s number one pick between the sticks. Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has just returned from injury and even if that was not the case, he is not a part of the squad list for this game either.
The defense consists of Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez starting together. They will need to be extremely cautious knowing how dangerous Inter Milan’s attacks can be, but they also need to be good on the ball in order to circulate possession.
On the flanks, Gerard Martin and Eric Garcia will be starting for Barcelona in this game. With Jules Kounde injured and Alejandro Balde still not ready to feature for Barcelona again, it will be up to these two players to provide width and help out both offensively and defensively.

In the midfield, Pedri and Frenkie de Jong form Barça’s two-man double-pivot. They have been crucial to the team’s success so far this season in their own ways, and they will be counted on in this crucial European clash as well.
Ahead of them, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha will play as Barça’s two wingers for this game. Both of them have been sensational throughout the season, and this is their moment to deliver big performances and help their team overcome this huge challenge. To facilitate them and the centre-forward, moreover, Dani Olmo starts as the team’s primary central attacking midfielder.
Up top, Ferran Torres starts for Barça as he will look to put away any chances that come his way. He will need to be clinical in this game, and he has to be aware of the fact that each and every single chance counts in a game like this at the San Siro.
