Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Botafogo defender Jair on a five-year deal.
Jair bids farewell to Botafogo after playing 22 matches, scoring one goal, and providing one assist in a single season for the club.
A product of the Santos youth academy, the defender was a champion of Série B and is a promising talent in Brazilian football. Jair recently participated with the national team in the South American Under-20 Championship.
"Jair is a young talent who has shown quality during his time in Brazil, and we are happy to have secured his signature," said the club's Chief Football Officer, Ross Wilson.
"Jair has flourished in Brazil and now has new ambitions as he moves to the Premier League. We know he will be warmly welcomed into the group here in Nottingham."
With the addition of Jair, a 20-year-old player, Nottingham Forest will now have three Brazilian-born players in their defence alongside Murillo and Morato.
