Former Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar Jr. opened up about his tenure in the French capital during an interview with the Bartoli Time show on RMC this Sunday.
Neymar returned to the outlines of his departure from PSG a year and a half ago. While he retains a generally positive memory of his Parisian years, the Brazilian also keeps a bitter taste from the end of his adventure, marked by tensions with the supporters and his management, which he did not spare.
After joining PSG in 2017, the 32-year-old went on to make 173 appearances across all competitions, scoring 118 goals and recording 73 assists. Neymar would win five Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France trophies, two Coupe de la Ligue trophies, and four Trophée des Champions.

It’s been over a year since Neymar left PSG to join Al-Hilal and he spoke about how he views his seven years in Paris.
“My experience at PSG was both good and bad,” Neymar said (h/t Foot Mercato). “Very good because, in terms of football, I think I was at the peak of my career, but bad because I was injured for long periods and often. I don’t think I even finished a single season, so there was inevitably some sadness.
“I won’t forget the very good moments, like the Champions League final (in 2020). We could have won it, but a final is decided by details. Otherwise, playing in Ligue 1 was a very good experience. The fans were great with me during my time there. I wrote my story in Ligue 1. I’m proud of it, but it’s over, and now I have to focus on Al-Hilal.”
