Manchester City are braced for another summer raid from Napoli, according to Italian news publication Corriere dello Sport.
Grealish is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer after a turbulent couple of years.
He has fallen out of favour under manager Pep Guardiola, but Napoli are now considering whether to offer him an escape route.
The 29-year-old is a shadow of the player that broke the British transfer record when he joined Man City from Aston Villa four years ago.
Over the past couple of years, he has been forced to accept a back-up role at Man City.
Grealish featured 32 times across all competitions but started just 16 games last season. He played 20 times in the Premier League but started just seven games.
To make matters worse, he started just one Premier League game for Man City since the turn of the year and was left out of the Club World Cup squad.
Guardiola was asked about that decision, but he made it clear that it had nothing to do with off-field issues. He insisted that he just preferred to take Jeremy Doku and Savinho ahead of Grealish.
The City manager has repeatedly praised Grealish’s quality but has also admitted that he needs playing time and might not be able to get it at Man City.
Grealish has two years left on his contract but is all but certain to leave the club this summer.
A move to Napoli would reunite him with former teammate Kevin De Bruyne, but there has to be plenty of compromise if he’s to join him in Naples.
Napoli have already held talks to sign Grealish, but everything depends on his salary demands and whether Man City would be willing to pay a part of his wage to facilitate a loan move.
