Alvaro Morata has been included in Luis De La Fuente’s latest Spain national team squad for the next round of international fixtures in November, despite the 32-year-old being taken to hospital after a nasty blow to the head on Thursday.
The 32-year-old has been called up for Spain’s upcoming Nations League fixtures against Denmark and Switzerland on November 15 and 18 respectively. He is the only Serie A representative among the reigning European champions’ roster.
Morata was taken to hospital in Milan on Thursday after suffering a blow to the head during a collision in training with Rossoneri centre-back Strahinja Pavlovic.
Morata was subjected to an MRI scan, the results of which came back negative, but the Spaniard was kept in for observation. He has since informed his followers online that he is now back at home.
Due to concussion protocols, Morata will not be involved in Milan’s upcoming Serie A match away against Cagliari on Saturday evening, but he has been chosen to represent Spain next week.

Luis De La Fuente has predicted that he will definitely be available for Spain’s game against Switzerland on November 18 if he is not quite ready to play against Denmark on the 15th.
“He suffered a big blow to the head yesterday, but he is fine after undergoing medical tests,” De La Fuente said in his press conference on Friday.
“There is a protocol, but he should be able to play in the first match, if not the second.”
