Bild reports that Bayern Munich’s Director of Sport, Max Eberl, will not look to resign, after recent reports suggested that he could.
A report from TZ München said that Eberl was preparing to offer his resignation as a member of Bayern. This was due to how he had presented himself during the Supervisory Board meeting last Monday.
The reason that these rumours arose was due to the Supervisory Board making life difficult for Eberl during the transfer window, such as the loan-only policy for transfers in the window.
On top of this, it is said that Eberl is the one who takes the brunt of the criticism when things go wrong, such as the failure to sign Florian Wirtz and Nick Woltemade.
As things stand, Eberl will stay at Bayern and has gone on holiday for a few days following the drama of the transfer window that saw Bayern complete the signings of Tom Bischof (Hoffenheim), Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen), Luis Diaz (Liverpool) and Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea).
