The pressure is back on Erik ten Hag and Manchester United when they head to the capital for a clash with West Ham United on Sunday.

United could only muster a third draw in as many Europa League games against Fenerbahce, surrendering the lead given to them by Christian Eriksen to share the spoils with former boss Jose Mourinho.

Things haven't been much better domestically for United, though last weekend's comeback 2-1 win over Brentford injected some much-needed positivity after the club's worst start to a season since 1989.

Opponents West Ham have had a rocky start under their new manager Julen Lopetegui, with last weekend's crushing 4-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur less than ideal preparation for a fixture West Ham have won three times from the last five played at London Stadium.

Here's how Ten Hag could set his side up.

GK: Andre Onana - Has kept four clean sheets in eight Premier League games but has only been on the winning side three times.

RB: Noussair Mazraoui - Was unexpectedly asked to play the 'number 10' role against Fenerbahce, filling the void left by the suspended Bruno Fernandes. Did well but will revert back to a more traditional full-back role here.

CB: Matthijs de Ligt - The Dutchman's signing has been questioned by those looking to prod United with any stick possible. But in reality, De Ligt has been rather authoritative and has shown a tremendous turn of pace.

CB: Lisandro Martinez - The more games Martinez gets under his belt, the more consistent his displays are. Will need to be at his best against a West Ham side who can pose plenty of problems.

LB: Diogo Dalot - Didn't have a great time of it against Allan Saint-Maximin in midweek and won't be looking forward to facing Jarrod Bowen either. Still, at least Mohammed Kudus is suspended for his crazy red card against Tottenham.

CM: Casemiro - Written off towards the end of last season, Casemiro has actually redeemed himself somewhat during 2024/25. Still nowhere near the level he was once at but is not atrociously out of his depth.

CM: Christian Eriksen - Out of contract at the end of the season, it appears Eriksen feels he has a point to prove. Not the most mobile these days and can be caught defensively unaware, but still possesses real quality of the ball.

AM: Bruno Fernandes (c) - Has openly admitted that his form has not been good enough this season, though supporters will want to see a change in actions rather than hearing the words. Has previously scored just twice in 12 career appearances against West Ham.

RW: Marcus Rashford - Rejuvenated may be a slight exaggeration but it's clear that Rashford is finding his confidence. West Ham's backline has been all over the place in big games and the 26-year-old must look to exploit that.

ST: Rasmus Hojlund - Got back in the goalscoring column with the winning goal against Brentford having been sidelined by injury for much of the campaign. Must look to press West Ham into making nervy errors.

LW: Alejandro Garnacho - With familiar face Aaron Wan-Bissaka likely to start at right-back, it could be a fun afternoon for the ever-improving Garnacho as he attempts to get one over on his former teammate.
