As the January transfer window nears, rumors about Randal Kolo Muani’s future at Paris Saint-Germain are intensifying, largely due to his limited playing time this season.

On Sunday, the French forward faced another blow when he was left out of the squad for PSG’s match against Olympique Lyonnais, hinting that he may not be a prominent part of Luis Enrique’s plans.

Kolo Muani has found it difficult to secure a regular spot as PSG’s main striker, playing just 453 minutes across all competitions, which has sparked speculation about a potential January exit.

L’Équipe reports that a loan deal, with or without an option to buy, is currently the most likely outcome. Manchester United have been the most serious suitors in recent weeks, but their focus has now shifted to more pressing matters following Ruben Amorim’s arrival.

RB Leipzig’s interest is real, though still in the early stages. AS Monaco are also a club to keep an eye on, as they’ve revealed plans to sign a striker after Folarin Balogun’s injury.

Amid the rumors linking Monaco to Kolo Muani, Monaco manager Adi Hütter spoke about the Frenchman and hinted at potential interest should a deal make sense for them.

“That [signing Kolo Muani] would be good,” Hütter said (h/t Diario AS). “But we have to be honest… There are many strikers in Europe who could help us. I’ve known Kolo Muani since his time at Frankfurt, where he scored many goals, and they were very good. He could be a profile.

“But there are many factors at play. And without a doubt, he’s not one of the cheapest! We need to find a good solution for the second half of the season. We have profiles available. We need to find someone who knows how to score goals. It doesn’t matter how old they are.”

Last month, Football Transfers revealed that Paris Saint-Germain are considering loaning out Kolo Muani in the January transfer window. Newcastle and West Ham have emerged as the leading contenders for his signature.

While PSG hasn’t set an official asking price, Transfermarkt currently values the forward at €30 million.
