As part of the first edition of the Munegu Awards, rewarding the most beautiful plays, moments and highlights of the 2024-2025 season, Maghnes Akliouche was named best player of the season by Bang & Olufsen.

He dazzled with his talent this season, notably scoring seven goals and providing twelve assists in all competitions (including five goals and ten assists in Ligue 1 McDonald’s), Maghnes Akliouche contributed in a big way to the team’s 31st podium in their history, one synonymous with their second straight qualification for the Champions League, a competition in which he did not have to wait long to shine.

A “golden goal” against Barça 🇪🇺

Because from the opening match against FC Barcelona marking the return of the Rouge et Blanc to the Champions League, he had perfectly launched his teammates in the quest for a prestigious victory (2-1). He showed his abilities with a superb sequence of control before then striking the ball cleanlr! It was a dream debut in the queen of European competitions, for the player trained at La Diagonale.

Decisive in every way 🎯

It was a performance that would gather steam over the course of a full season, in which he played 43 matches in all competitions. A true key figure in the team led by Adi Hütter, he excelled at setting up and finishing moves, as evidenced by his goal in Saint-Etienne (1-3), where the Monaco number 11 also gave us some (very) classy moves, including a spectacular overhead kick against Stade Rennais (3-2).

A gala trio! 🏆

The attacking midfielder thus garnered 46% of the votes to be elected MVP of the season by Bang & Olufsen. In second place was Denis Zakaria, captain of AS Monaco and named to L’Équipe’s Team of the Season who had 24% of the vote at the end of a season in which he brilliantly assumed his role as leader. Finally, Mika Biereth, became the first player to score 12 goals in his first 10 Ligue 1 matches, thus completing the podium (15% of the votes). Daghe Maghnes! 👏 🇲🇨
