Newly crowned Premier League champions Liverpool welcome their one-time nearest challengers Arsenal on Sunday, May 11th, at 4:30 pm (UK time). Find our match preview below and our two best bets at 11/5 and 15/2.
There is very little to play for here and I fancy very few cards to be shown in a game where Arsenal may be particularly fatigued after their loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday. Referee Anthony Taylor takes the whistle at Anfield and he has particularly shy with his cards this season, showing under 4 in 17 of his 30 matches. Furthermore, on six occasions he has failed to show a single card in the Premier League this term and I’m happy to get behind the Under 2.5 line at 11/5.
No player has scored more Premier League home goals this season than Mohamed Salah (12), while the Egyptian forward is the most prolific scorer in 2025 with 11 strikes. He leads the way for both goals (28) and assists (18) in 2024/25, and has an excellent record against Arsenal. Salah has scored 11 Premier League goals against Arsenal, only netting more against Manchester United (13) and Tottenham (12). This bet for him to score and assist in the same game has landed an incredible 10 times already this season, and with other firms having it as short as 7/2, the 15/2 with bet365 looks a very backable price.
Liverpool have won the Premier League title for the second time, after 2019-20. It is their 20th English top-flight title overall, moving them level with Manchester United for the joint-most by any side. Liverpool also head into their penultimate home game on a seven-game winning streak at Anfield, conceding five goals while keeping only two clean sheets but netting 19 times. Although they were beaten 3-1 on the road at Chelsea last week, they will be eager to take advantage of a deflated Arsenal side after their European exit.
It’s been another frustrating campaign for the Gunners, who are once again the bridesmaid, having also finished as runners-up in the preceding two seasons. Their defeat over two legs against PSG, means it’s still four years without a major piece of silverware and they have now lost three consecutive matches across all formats.
This game could arrive too early for Joe Gomez, who is recovering from a thigh injury, while Conor Bradley could be available following his absence for Liverpool after sustaining a knock.
Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Gabriel will not represent Arsenal until next season as they continue to recover from their respective injuries. Kai Havertz, who was also ruled out for a lengthy period, could play for the Gunners but remains a doubt.
Liverpool are winless in their previous five Premier League meetings with Arsenal (three draws and two losses). Before that, it was four straight wins for the Reds in this fixture.
