The Gunners head to Anfield this weekend looking to bounce back from going out of the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Mikel Arteta’s side were beaten 2-1 by Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital as they exited the competition at the semi-final stage.
Arteta admitted after the game that some of his players were in tears and he must lift them for this clash with Liverpool.
The Gunners are currently second in the Premier League, but they are being chased down by Manchester City.
“This is what we are, when we get so close to winning big trophies and you don’t achieve it, it has to be part of that journey,” Arteta said.
“We have to be able now to go immediately into a different competition and perform at the highest level, that’s it.”
Arteta may look to go with his strong team at Anfield as he bids to bounce back from the loss to PSG.
Ben White is one player that could come into the team at right-back in place of Jurrien Timber. Riccardo Calafiori impressed off the bench on Wednesday and is also pushing to start at left-back.
Arteta is light on options in midfield, although Jorginho was back on the bench in midweek after a rib injury.
