Leicester City fans have noticed something pretty incredible about Leicester's social media post. Whether or not it was intended, Ruud van Nistelrooy is involved.
Today, a lot of the talk involving Leicester City has revolved around one man, who isn't confirmed to be part of the club as of yet, Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Dutch manager, who is mostly known for his incredible goal-scoring antics during his Man United playing days, is believed to be next Leicester City manager.
Today, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that it was only a matter of checking the documents. After this time, Leicester City can officially unveil Ruud van Nistelrooy as the new manager.
That said, Leicester's official X (formerly Twitter) account has already seen a shade of Ruud van Nistelrooy today.
It was nine years ago to this day that Jamie Vardy broke the Premier League goal-scoring record, with the most goals scored in consecutive matches (11).
Those Leicester City supporters with beady eyes and a keen brain for football history will know who Vardy snatched that record from - It was none other than Ruud van Nistelrooy.
So, serendipitously, it has all come full circle. On the anniversary of Jamie Vardy breaking his record, Ruud van Nistelrooy is believed to be on the cusp of becoming Leicester City manager.
Of course, there were some comments which noticed the pattern. One Leicester City fan questioned who held the record before Jamie Vardy broke it. It would've been Ruud for Leicester to name him, of course.
This only resurfaced an old post from Ruud van Nistelrooy himself. Showing his class, RvN congratulated Jamie Vardy after his record was broken. He was full of praise for the English striker, claiming that Vardy deserved to be number one.
In a strange but beautiful turn of events, it is now Ruud van Nistelrooy who will mentor Jamie Vardy. Leicester City fans will only hope that RvN has remained well-mannered about his record being broken.
Jamie Vardy, who is already up there with the very best, being mentored by one of the best goal-scorers in Premier League history, is a truly frightening thought.
