Fabrizio Romano has published an incredible update involving Ruud van Nistelrooy's transition to Leicester City. Could it finally be?
Throughout all of this week so far, Leicester City have attempted to hire a new manager. They parted ways with Steve Cooper over the weekend, after the unfortunate loss to Chelsea in the Premier League.
While many names have been doing the rounds throughout the week - Including Graham Potter, David Moyes and Lee Carsley to name a few, Leicester City appear to have settled on their new name at the helm.
And if we're reading between the lines of Fabrizio Romano's latest update correctly, Leicester fans can expect the Ruud van Nistelrooy announcement anytime soon.
According to a post on X (formerly Twitter), Fabrizio Romano has claimed that it is now only a case of checking the documents. After this, Ruud van Nistelrooy will be unveiled as the new Leicester City manager.
So, it appears as good as done. While Ruud van Nistelrooy was always the favourite for the King Power Stadium hot seat, fans can now essentially rule out all the other options.
Ruud van Nistelrooy's appointment will be met with plenty of criticism. This is always the case, whenever an unproven manager is hired. However, the Leicester board clearly sees something in the young RvN, so it is within Leicester's best interest to get behind the Premier League legend.
It is difficult to accurately judge Ruud van Nistelrooy for his experience. This is because he doesn't have as much experience as a Leicester manager would typically have. However, a similar appointment worked with Enzo Maresca, so let's just see.
The biggest problem which van Nistrelrooy must fix is the attitude of the players. This is because a few of them might have lost their desire to play the game under Steve Cooper. Therefore, a commanding figure at the helm of the club will do it the world of good.
