Federico Dimarco and Marcus Thuram will return to Inter Milan’s starting line-up for tomorrow’s home league clash against Bologna.
According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, Carlos Augusto and Mehdi Taremi will drop to the bench after unenviable showings at Venezia.
Coach Simone Inzaghi handed Dimarco a much-needed rest at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo.
However, Augusto’s performance on Sunday flattered to deceive.
The same goes for Taremi, a mere shadow of a player who almost single-handedly defeated AC Milan in Riyadh.
Indeed, Inter squeezed past Venezia and can’t afford another substandard display against European hopefuls Bologna.
Dimarco will start on the left flank, but it won’t be the only change in the midfield line.
With Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan injured, Kristjan Asllani and Piotr Zielinski will join forces with Nicolo Barella.
Meanwhile, Thuram will regain his place in attack alongside Lautaro Martinez.
The Frenchman is Inter’s top scorer in Serie A this season with 12 goals – at least six more than any other Nerazzurri star.
Inzaghi won’t make any changes to his backline.
Indeed, Alessandro Bastoni, Stefan de Vrij, and Matteo Darmian will star despite Benjamin Pavard’s recovery.
