Inter speak to Parma for Giovanni Leoni | OneFootball

Serie A giants Inter are looking to bolster their squad after the disappointment of last season and are in talks with Parma to sign defender Giovanni Leoni.

The 18-year-old made a mark under Cristian Chivu last season and he could now be reunited at the Nerazzurri with the Romanian.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that during Inter’s talks with Parma to sign Chivu, they spoke to the club about Leoni and also about striker Ange-Yoan Bonny.

The young defender is valued at €25 million to €30 million right now and it remains to be seen how Inter afford that figure in the next few weeks.

Last season, Leoni made 17 Serie A appearances for Parma and his prominence in the squad grew towards the end of the season, when Chivu helped the club avoid relegation and finish at a solid 16th position and they ended the campaign ffive points away from the drop.
