Real Madrid starlet Endrick has entered the decisive phase of his recovery, working his way back from the relapse he suffered in July after first picking up an injury in May, during the penultimate La Liga match against Sevilla.
The original plan was for him to be ready in time for the FIFA Club World Cup, but the setback on US soil forced a rethink.
Now, according to AS, Endrick’s objective is clear: to be available straight after the international break in September, with Real Sociedad (13-14 September) pencilled in as a potential comeback date.
The 19-year-old is already taking visible steps forward. He has returned to the pitch at Valdebebas, swapping gym work for continuous running on grass. For the first time since the summer, he is back in boots and shorts, with gradual but steady progress the key.
There is no rush, from him or the club, as the priority is a full recovery, with the entire season still ahead. Group drills and impact work will follow soon, the final stages before being cleared to play.

This is a pivotal year for Endrick. Despite multiple loan offers, he chose to stay and fight for his place. His aim is to earn more minutes under Xabi Alonso, though competition in attack is fierce, especially with Gonzalo Garcia’s emergence after impressing at the Club World Cup.
Adding further motivation, this is also a World Cup year. Endrick, who has already featured in Copa America and World Cup qualifiers, dreams of being part of Carlo Ancelotti’s final Brazil squad. To do so, he needs to be fully fit for the October and November international windows.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s faith in Endrick is clear. Earlier this month, he was officially handed the No.9 shirt – a strong vote of confidence in a player who only turned 19 this summer.
Last season, despite limited minutes, he still managed seven goals in a little over 800 minutes, shining particularly in the Copa del Rey with five goals in six matches.
Now, all eyes are on his recovery. If his progress continues as planned, Endrick could soon be ready to show why Real Madrid believe he is the future of their attack.
