The midfielder excelled in League One on loan at Wycombe last season

After three years coaching at Ipswich Town, Lee Grant is settling into his new role as Huddersfield Town boss, and he's brought over a former Tractor Boy already.
Marcus Harness is set to join the Terriers on a free transfer on July 1, after his contract wasn't renewed at Portman Road, which raises questions about the influence Lee Grant had in the move and whether any other Ipswich players will soon follow suit to the John Smith's Stadium.
Ipswich have spent the last season building a low-end Premier League side, however, and despite Huddersfield Town having high aspirations to get out of League One in the 2025/26 campaign, there are likely very few other Ipswich players willing to drop down into the third tier.
But there may still be one or two available, and FLW's Huddersfield fan pundit, Graeme Rayner, believes that Cameron Humphreys could be someone the Terriers could have a look at before the new season begins.
Rayner joked a little when asked whether he felt there were any realistic options at Ipswich Town that Huddersfield could target this summer.
"I think they had a young striker called Liam Delap, who could definitely do a job. You never know, Lee Grant may be able to persuade him to drop to League One to make a name for himself!"
Unfortunately for Terriers fans, Delap has since chosen to sign for Premier League giants Chelsea, but luckily enough, Rayner had a backup option in case that one fell through.
21-year-old Cameron Humphreys spent last season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers and was a key part of the side that looked like they were going to finish in the top two in League One, missing just four league games all season.
"He's the most realistic," Rayner said. "He's versatile, he's young, and he's got a lot of potential.
"He played a lot of games for Wycombe last season, and they were pretty successful. Obviously, they didn't secure promotion, but they were a good side who were in the play-offs all season.
"If I were to predict that we might raid Ipswich for anyone else, I'd say him or maybe one of the goalkeepers if Lee Nichols leaves.
"It would be interesting to see if something happens there."
Cameron Humphreys is soon to enter the last year of his current contract - a three-and-a-half-year deal he signed in January 2023 - although the club have the option to extend it for a further year.
He was a serviceable backup in the Tractor Boys' promotion to the Championship, but in the 2023/24 campaign, he made just three league appearances. Last season truly was a breakout year for Humphreys, and he'll be wanting to ride the wave of momentum into the upcoming year.
The only issue is that, despite his versatility, Humphreys may still find himself behind the likes of Conor Chaplin or even Leif Davis in the pecking order at Ipswich, and a move away, yet again, either on loan or permanently, may be on the cards.
With 13 goal contributions at Adams Park last season, the 21-year-old has proven himself to be a top-level League One operator. Ipswich will likely want him to play in the Championship next season, but the pull power of one of their former coaches in Lee Grant, may be enough to persuade him to play one more season in the third tier.
