Alvaro Arbeloa’s representative, Oscar Ribot, has suggested that the former Real Madrid defender, who currently coaches the Juvenil A team, dreams of managing the first team.

After retiring from professional football in 2017, Arbeloa was appointed the manager of Real Madrid’s U-14 side in 2020 and just two years later, he moved to the Juvenil A side.

“He wants to be the coach of Real Madrid and he has everything to achieve it,” said Ribot as quoted by Defensa Central.

“He has the club’s values, loyalty, professionalism, and hunger and he understands that in the club, you always have to go out to win and fight for the maximum.

“He carries that DNA in his blood, so I have no doubt that one day he will be on the Santiago Bernabéu bench,” he added.

It is to be noted that Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe are nearing an agreement, especially after the French star announced he won’t renew his contract with PSG and plans to leave in June.

Amidst all this, in France, Ribot stirred discussions with his comments. Arbeloa, who has aspirations of managing Real Madrid, is now in the spotlight, even though Carlo Ancelotti is under contract until 2026.

These statements are generating buzz on social media and have even made their way to France, sparking conversations about the possibility of the former Real Madrid player becoming Mbappe’s future coach.

Despite the chatter, though, it must be noted that Florentino Perez’s long-term plan seems to involve Xabi Alonso taking over once Ancelotti leaves. However, Arbeloa is also considered a strong candidate for the manager role at Real Madrid.

At present, the team from the Spanish capital is not really bothered by the managerial spot as Ancelotti continues to have the faith of the management. The talks of potential openings within the managerial role will only open up towards the end of the next season.
