According to the Spanish press, Girona FC has already started talks with Real Sociedad as well as with the camp of Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq.

Valencia CF, also in the running for Sadiq, has failed to reach an agreement with Sociedad, giving Girona the upper hand in this battle. The departure of Artem Dovbyk has left a significant gap at the tip of Míchel's attack. Despite the arrivals of Abel Ruiz and Bojan Miovsky, neither has yet established himself as the main goal scorer. Sadiq, already accustomed to La Liga, fits the desired profile perfectly: strength, presence in the box, and a guarantee of goals.
