Galatasaray are plotting an ambitious move for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Italian’s contract runs until 2026, but renewal talks have stalled as Les Parisiens reportedly want to reduce his salary from the current €12 million per year.
Despite the impasse, Donnarumma is believed to be keen on remaining at PSG but currently has interest from several major clubs, including Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Galatasaray.
Donnarumma made 47 appearances across all competitions last season, contributing significantly to PSG’s Champions League victory and domestic success.
However, with no agreement over a new deal in sight, PSG risk losing their goalkeeper on a free transfer in 2026.
Galatasaray view Donnarumma’s current contractual stand-off as an opportunity to sign one of Europe’s best goalkeepers.
The Turkish giants are reportedly preparing an attractive offer to convince Donnarumma to swap Paris for Istanbul.
Galatasaray have recently agreed a deal to sign Victor Osimhen permanently, but they are targeting more high-profile acquisitions.
They have also been linked with a move for Manchester City’s Ederson in the quest to replace Fernando Muslera, who recently departed after 14 years.
Galatasaray’s work in the summer window is primarily driven by the financial boost gained from their recent €300 million deal with Nivak Group for the development of the historic Florya training ground.
The deal is projected to generate around €500m in revenue, potentially making room for more big-name signings in the future.
