Everton have completed the signing of Morocco international left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich, with the 19-year-old joining the Toffees a four-year deal.

Everton are preparing for life at Hill Dickinson Stadium after leaving Goodison Park at the end of last season, and manager David Moyes will be looking to hit the ground running when 2025-26 starts.

Aznou played four times for Bayern last term before leaving on loan for La Liga to join Real Valladolid.

He played 13 games for the Spanish club and will now look to battle Vitalii Mykolenko for a spot in the Everton starting XI.

However, Moyes has warned that it could take a while before the teenager fully adapts to the demands of the Premier League, insisting he has no plans to rush him.

“This boy’s a young boy, maybe not quite ready yet, but we hope he will be shortly,” the Toffees boss said.

“We see a lot of good things in him, technically very good, athletic, might need just a little bit to get himself built up and ready for the Premier League, so we won’t be putting him under any pressure.”

Aznou has played just 17 senior games as a professional and it could take a while before he starts firing on all cylinders at Everton despite his huge potential.

However, he could prove to be an instant hit with the fans and will hope to convince Moyes during the pre-season friendly games.

Aznou spent time in the Barcelona youth set-up and has already played three times for the Moroccan senior national team.

The Toffees take on West Ham United today before facing Manchester United and AS Roma in their last games ahead of their Premier League opener against Leeds United on August 18, and their latest arrival is expected to feature in those games.
