Celtic will be looking to make some additions to their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window. One of their areas where the Hoops might need to strengthen is their midfield. And one player they have been linked with for quite some time is Lennon Miller of Motherwell, the 18-year-old midfielder who has enjoyed a meteoric rise.
Miller has not only established himself as a regular starter for Motherwell but he has also captained them on a few occasions. As a result, he is considered by many as a special talent who is set to make it to the very top one day.
Unsurprisingly, a number of teams are believed to be interested in signing him. Both Celtic and the Rangers are rumoured to be keeping tabs on Miller. But it looks like his future might lie away from Scotland.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Miller could clinch a summer move to Union Saint-Galloise and set up a switch to Brighton & Hove Albion. Sister club USG are working on a deal to sign the 18-year-old for £5 million before transferring him to the Seagulls.
Brighton & Hove Albion have a brilliant record when it comes to recognising top talents early on in their careers. Could Miller be next on that list?
Time shall tell. For now, Miller is at Motherwell and Celtic are not completely out of the race to sign him in the summer, although they seem to be falling behind in the race already.
At the same time, other top teams like Liverpool and Lyon have also been linked with Miller in recent times. So, it remains to be seen where he will ultimately end up in the summer. A Motherwell exit does not seem far away though.
