But we’ll still take the point, even though we absolutely needed three. One point is too little if we look at where we currently are. We have a whole lot of catching up to do. But it doesn’t make any sense now to calculate where we could be at the end. We simply needed to win the matches. It was certainly a good reaction. We were more aggressive today. It was a very different picture compared to Wednesday (editor’s note: in Barcelona). We moved well, from right to left. The defence was solid. It may be that we’re more stable in a back three at the moment. Nonetheless, I believe that it is not a question of system but rather a question of attitude. The attitude on Wednesday was not good; today, it was good. The coach found the right words and showed us several things that went wrong and what the standard has to be.”

Waldemar Anton (in the mixed zone): "We wanted to get the win and also had the opportunity to do so. In the end, we'll take the point and see where it ultimately gets us. The match in Barcelona was sobering. We absolutely wanted to show a reaction. That worked well, we were solid and defended well. The final ball was missing in the first period. It was then better in the second period. We'll now focus on Tuesday and then go all out on Sunday to win against Gladbach."

Niklas Süle (to BVB TV): "We didn't believe in ourselves enough in the first half and played too many long balls like in Barcelona. We're working hard to ensure it soon goes in a better direction. In the second half, when we played it short for 15 or 20 minutes and also took the lead, Bayern could sense that this is a team that can play football too. That's the only way that we can compete with teams like this. We have the quality, we simply need to show it on the pitch more frequently. And then it's really good fun too. We had counter-attacking moves because Bayern played man to man across the whole pitch."
