Bayern Munich now open to loaning Jonah Kusi-Asare, Werder Bremen interested

Sky Germany reports that Bayern Munich attacking prospect Jonah Kusi-Asare may potentilla be headed out on loan before the transfer window closes. Such a move is obviously continent on the Bundesliga record champions sealing the loan deal for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. If Jackson arrives, Bayern can park the 18-year-old in a developmental locale.

Given that – even if Bayern do manage to procure Jackson – the squad probably still needs to feature three natural strikers for a three-competition year, the Sky report does count as speculative. Kusi-Asare completed an impressive training camp and definitely has a place in head coach Vincent Kompany’s plans. Sky merely notes that player, agent, and club are “exploring the possibility“.

Florian Plettenberg lists Slavia Prague, PSV Eindhoven, and Werder Bremen as potential interested parties. The deal would make perfect sense for Werder, who are in dire need of a lead striker amid their many personnel problems. Obviously, that doesn’t mean that the Hanseaten stand a realistic chance of obtaining Kusi-Asare.
