Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement with Sevilla FC to sign France international centre-back Loïc Badé (25), according to a report from L’Equipe. The Bundesliga and Liga sides found a compromise over a €30m transfer package, including add-ons. Badé will sign a five-year deal with Der Werkself. The former Nottingham Forest defender was a man in demand after a remarkable spell with Sevilla. Badé also shone with France in the 2025 Nations League finals.

Several Premier League sides, including Sunderland were interested in signing Badé, but the latter opted to join Erik ten Hag’s Bundesliga side. The France international was said to be interested in a move to Bayer Leverkusen, given the opportunity to play in the UEFA Champions League and compete for trophies.
