Mario Balotelli has been left out of the Genoa squad for Friday’s Serie A match against Roma, sparking speculation his time at the club is already coming to an end.
The centre-forward has barely set foot on the pitch since joining as a free agent on October 28, 2024.
Between his six substitute appearances, SuperMario spent a grand total of 56 minutes on the playing field, his only contribution being two yellow cards.
Balotelli has not featured at all in the last three games and when Genoa announced their squad for tomorrow’s Serie A game against Roma, his name was notably absent.

According to Calciomercato.com, Genoa sources are trying to suggest that his fitness levels are not up to scratch.
This comes just days after Balotelli posted a message on his Instagram account warning against believing he had any injury problems.
There was a clause in his contract allowing him to terminate by mutual consent, but it expired on December 31.
The 34-year-old played for numerous clubs in his career, including Inter, Manchester City, Liverpool, Milan, Brescia, OGC Nice, Olympique Marseille, Monza and Adana Demirspor.
