Aston Villa continue their challenge for Champions League qualification against Tottenham Hotspur tonight.
Unai Emery’s side welcome Spurs to Villa Park, searching for an eighth win in nine Premier League games.
Their strong run of form has secured European football for the third straight season next term, though Villa are determined to seal a Champions League return. Outside the qualification places on goal difference as things stand, a win will take them into the Champions League spots temporarily at least.
Tottenham’s dire league season continued with a home defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend. Spurs are winless in five games and have dropped to 17th in the table. Next week’s Europa League final against Manchester United offers a chance to salvage their season.
Unai Emery is without Youri Tielemans and Marcus Rashford with the influential duo unlikely to feature again this season. A muscular issue ended Tielemans’ ever-present status this season, while Rashford’s campaign has been curtailed by a hamstring injury.
Villa also have Jacob Ramsey unavailable, following the midfielder’s red card at Bournemouth last weekend.
Aston Villa predicted XI: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Torres, Digne; Kamara, Onana; Asensio, Rogers, McGinn; Watkins.
Aston Villa host Tottenham in the Premier League on Friday 16th May 2025. Kick-off at Villa Park is 19:30 BST.
Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur will be available to watch on Sky Sports Premier League, Sky Go UK and NOW UK.
