The top two in the Premier League meet at Anfield on Sunday at 4:30pm, as champions Liverpool play host to Arsenal.
Arsenal (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Calafiori; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.
The title may not be on the line, but the rivalry is as strong as ever and both will be determined to bounce back from defeats last time out.
Sunday’s game, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, will be the 214th meeting between the sides, with Liverpool winning 80 of those matches compared to Arsenal’s 73.
Jorginho — who was an unused substitute in the midweek defeat to Paris Saint-Germain — could return to the Arsenal starting lineup, having fully recovered from a rib injury.
Riccardo Calafiori came on in the second half in Paris, having been passed fit following a knee injury, and looks set to feature at Anfield.
Mikel Arteta is still without Gabriel, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus through injury, with Havertz the only one of the trio that could return before the season ends.
The Champions League semi-final defeat has left more questions hanging over Mikel Arteta, notably whether he can lead the Gunners to either league or European success.
Most of the fans’ frustration has been surrounding the lack of transfer activity, especially when it comes to landing a top-level striker.
Having failed to bring in a high-profile forward in the summer, Arsenal were then unable to add a fresh goal threat during January’s transfer window.
With the likes of Havertz and Jesus missing for a large part of the campaign, the Gunners boss has been having to find makeshift solutions.
This has included using midfielder Mikel Merino up front and their recent league form — which stands at just three wins in the last 10 matches — highlights the problems they have faced.
It is now five years since Arsenal’s last piece of silverware and you have to go back to 2003-04 for the last time they lifted the Premier League trophy.
There appears to be a section of Gunners’ fans questioning whether the Spaniard is the man to take the club forward and that pressure looks only likely to grow.
