As the January transfer window approaches, speculation about Randal Kolo Muani’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is ramping up. The French forward has struggled for playing time this season, fueling rumors of a potential departure.

Last Sunday, the situation took a new twist when Kolo Muani was left out of PSG’s squad for their match against Olympique Lyonnais, raising more questions about his role under Luis Enrique.

Despite joining PSG with high expectations, Kolo Muani has found it difficult to secure a starting spot, logging just 453 minutes across all competitions. This limited involvement has reportedly caught the attention of Premier League clubs.

GIVE ME SPORT recently reported, citing sources, that Manchester City is considering a loan move for Kolo Muani to bring him to the Etihad Stadium during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The Sky Blues are exploring this option after failing to replace Julián Álvarez, leaving them without a backup for first-choice striker Erling Haaland.

According to TBR Football, PSG might be open to a loan deal with an option to buy, and Kolo Muani is said to be interested in a move to England. This has given Premier League clubs renewed confidence about striking a deal.

When asked about Kolo Muani’s absence from the press conference, Enrique has previously insisted that nothing is final and his decision could be reversed. However, Christophe Dugarry wasn’t convinced. The 1998 World Cup winner and former French international doesn’t see much of a future for the ex-FC Nantes player.

“It’s irreversible for the players—they won’t play anymore,” Dugarry said on Rothen S’Enflamme on RMC Sport (h/t Le10Sport). “They can do whatever they want on the pitch; it’s over.”

Recently, TEAMtalk reported, citing sources, that Arsenal are showing interest in Kolo Muani and is ‘one to watch’ for the Gunners in January.

Moreover, the report notes that a bid of £50 million could be enough to sign Muani next month, which is a bargain considering he joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt for £76 million in 2023.
