According to Florian Plettenberg, Galatasaray are engaged in “concrete talks” to sign Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Milan Škriniar (29).

The Slovakia international has fallen down the pecking order at Luis Enrique’s Les Parisiens with club captain Marquinhos and Willian Pacho partnering up most of the time at the back. With Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Hernandez returning from injury and Lucas Beraldo also part of the PSG squad, Škriniar is expected to remain out of favour with the Ligue 1 champions.

Having played just five games all season, accumulating 381 minutes of playing time, none of which have come in the UEFA Champions League, Škriniar is open to leaving PSG, unlike in the summer when he was keen to make the transfer work.

Plettenberg understands that there is a good chance of Škriniar leaving Les Parisiens this January. There are now “concrete talks” taking place between PSG and Galatasaray over a loan move. The centre-back is open to joining the Turkish club next month.
