Former Celtic fullback Alex Valle looks set to face up against the Scottish Champions just months after cutting a loan spell short. The 21-year-old helped Celtic win the Premier Sports Cup last December and wrestled with Greg Taylor for the left back berth under Brendan Rodgers.
Valle made 19 appearances for Celtic, assisting on 5 occasions and helping Celtic towards the Double. The move was cut short with Barca deciding to take him back and send him across to play under a former player of their own, Cesc Fabregas.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the left-back had completed a €6m deal to sign for Cesc Fabregas’ idilic side.
Earlier today, it was confirmed that Celtic would face Como as part of the Como Cup in Italy. The Scottish Champions will face the Serie A side along with Ajax and Saudi side Al-Ahli. This means that Brendan will be seeing Valle only a few months after the Spaniard left for an initial loan deal to Como.
Celtic could find themselves looking for another left back this summer with Greg Taylor’s contract expiring. The Scotland Internationalist has managed to see off a number of contenders for his jersey but has paused for thought with the news that Kieran Tierney will return. In an ideal world, Celtic would be able to call upon both Tierney and Taylor next season but with the more time that goes on, it appears inevitable that the player will move on.
