DAZN and TNT Sports have announced their U.S. broadcast team for this summer’s men’s FIFA Club World Cup, presenting an impressive lineup for the tournament, which features BBC host Alex Scott.
The broadcasting team will feature seasoned hosts, insightful analysts, and skilled commentators to cover the tournament.
Former England international Alex Scott is set to join DAZN and TNT Sports’ U.S. broadcast team for the men’s FIFA Club World Cup this summer.
The BBC Football Focus host will be part of an impressive broadcasting lineup. Joining her on hosting duties for studio coverage are reporters Lauren Jbara and Katie Whitham, both of whom bring strong knowledge of on-air experience.
Scott, who has 140 caps for England, has established herself as a leading and respected figure in football media. Her move to the studio has seen her take on significant roles with BBC, Sky Sports, and Amazon Prime.
During her broadcasting career, she has covered tournaments ranging from the Premier League to the World Cup and now the UEFA Women’s Euros this summer.
The FIFA Club World Cup this summer is a men’s football tournament bringing the top teams from each of the six continental confederations.
In 2025, the tournament has expanded to include 32 teams, making a major transition in its format and global reach.
The newly formatted competition will be similar to the structure of the international World Cup. This will consist of a group stage followed by the knockout rounds.
Taking place every four years, it aims to showcase the world’s best club talent whilst uniting champions from leagues across the globe in a tournament to crown the ultimate club champion.
The inaugural edition of the women’s FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled for January and February 2028.
The tournament which will consist of 19 teams was originally scheduled for 2026, but was pushed back by two years.
In the commentary booth, colour analysts Brian Dunseth, Steve McManaman, and Brad Guzan will join play-by-play announcers like Luke Wileman, Tony Husband, Andres Cantor, and Kevin Egas.
The analyst panel features former women’s Colombian international Melissa Ortiz, who will be joined by male compatriot Juan Pablo Angel.
Nashville SC’s head coach B.J. Callaghan, FC Cincinnati’s striker Kei Kamara, and England international Conor Coady are also on the panel.
The broadcasting announcement follows DAZN’s acquisition of a $1 billion global rights deal in December to broadcast all 63 matches.
In March, DAZN partnered with TNT Sports, enabling TNT to air 24 matches in the United States.
The Club World Cup begins on June 14th, with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami taking on Egyptian champions Al Ahly.
The grand finale will be held on July 13th at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. Also among the teams competing in the tournament are English Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester City.
