Albertini warns Milan ahead of Coppa Italia final: “Bologna scare me” | OneFootball

AC Milan will be up against Bologna in the Coppa Italia final in a few weeks. It’s a game that the Rossoneri legend Demetrio Albertini believes will be very difficult, given just how well the Rossoblu have played.

After beating city rivals Inter by 4-1 on aggregate in the semi-final, Milan are now preparing for the big game in Rome. There are two league games between now and then, including one against Bologna, so the Rossoneri are aiming for wins to keep the enthusiasm going.

Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport for today’s edition, the former Milan man Demetrio Albertini was asked about the game. He stated that it will be a very difficult one for the Rossoneri, especially since Bologna haven’t won the trophy since 1974.

“It will be tough. The Rossoblu deserve a lot of compliments because they have created such a beautiful path: they did very well last season and even better this one. The results are no coincidence, but the result of an important job by the directors.

“As an opponent, Bologna scare me because of the enthusiasm with which they arrive in the final and the desire they have to give their fans a dream. For Milan, even if they haven’t won it for a long time, the Coppa Italia is one of the many trophies in their history. For Bologna, it is something they have been waiting for for a long time.”

The final is scheduled for May 14th and as said, Milan will be up against Bologna in the league before that. It will be a game for both sides to get a feel for each other and most likely, whoever creates the best tactics based on that game will win the final.
