According to Fabrizio Romano, Achraf Hakimi (25) is close to signing a new long-term contract with Paris Saint-Germain. The Morrocan international right back’s current contract at the Parc des Princes is set to expire in 2026, but he looks set to pen terms on an extension with the Ligue 1 champions.
Hakimi signed for PSG in 2021 for a fee of €68m from Inter. The former Real Madrid defender signed a 5-year contract with Les Parisiens upon signing for the Ligue 1 club. In his third season for the French capital club, the right back has made a total of 130 appearances for PSG, scoring 16 goals and registering 22 assists in all competitions.
The former Borussia Dortmund loanee has become a key figure since Luis Enrique’s arrival in Paris. With key players leaving over recent seasons, Hakimi’s influence has grown at Les Parisiens. This trend looks set to continue as the 25-year-old nears closer to extending his contract.
