Last Week, Scholes made headlines after a post on his Instagram story, in which he wrote: “Who the f*** is this Yildiz??” along with a series of clapping emojis, clearly impressed by the 19-year-old’s performance during the 2-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League.

“It’s only a pleasure to be appreciated by a champions like him,” Yildiz said when asked about Scholes’s recognition in an interview with Tuttosport.

“It’s a great source of pride, a great feeling, especially coming after an important victory like the one against Manchester City.”

The Türkiye international was not on the scoresheet, but impressed with his performance nonetheless as Juventus inflicted a 2-0 defeat upon Pep Guardiola’s side in the Champions League over the summer.

The Bianconeri teenager has also said that he intends on spending the next five years in Turin, ‘on the pitch, giving everything for the shirt’.

Having signed a new contract over the summer, which also came with the additional bonus of the club’s iconic no.10 shirt, Yildiz is currently tied to the club until the summer of 2029.
