Lamine Yamal continues to prove why he is one of the brightest talents at Barcelona. In the 2-0 win over Espanyol that sealed the La Liga title, the 17-year-old made the difference once again with a stunning left-footed goal.

Right after the final whistle, Yamal quietly led the way into the tunnel, having done his part on the pitch. Later, speaking to Barça’s media team, the young star shared his emotions:

“We’re very happy. There’s always a bit of doubt until the end, you know? But this is huge for the club, and we’ve done it.”

Despite scoring another beauty, Yamal made it clear that personal glory is not his focus.“I don’t work to score important goals, but for my club. I don’t care what people say from the outside. I focus on the games, and I will continue to do what I do for my club.”

Pedri reflects on a tough season

Pedri, one of the key figures in Barça’s title charge, also took time to speak after the final whistle. He called it the hardest title to win this season, mainly because of the ups and downs the team experienced throughout the campaign.

“I think it’s the toughest title of the season. I’m really happy with how the year went. The fans enjoyed watching us, and we’ve enjoyed playing with them.”

He also opened up on playing his 200th league appearance, stating, “As a kid, I dreamed of playing one game and never expected to reach 200. Now I hope for many more because it’s the club of my life.”

As for the party, Pedri said it will be a proper one, though he won’t be leading the dance floor. “There’s definitely going to be a celebration. We have to enjoy it properly. But I’ll leave the dancing to Lamine, Balde, and that group,” he concluded.
