What Chelsea’s midfield star thinks will be “another level” this season | OneFootball

Enzo Maresca has this Chelsea team playing really well right now, and the manager has plenty of chances to praise his players.

He loves to call out midfielder Moises Caicedo for praise, the Ecuador star said to the Chelsea website today that that helps drive him on:

“I appreciate that and it’s a motivation for me. It’s why I train every day even harder,” Caicedo said.

“For sure I am going to try and play even better than last season. I have hunger for more. I have always said I don’t have limits; the sky is the limit. I am going to work hard to keep achieving a lot of things for this amazing club.”

Caicedo also knows the importance of starting the season well. Last year the Blues were able to survive a huge mid-season slump because of their early successes, and they need that sort of cushion again this year:

“I just want to start the season really well. For sure, it will be an incredible and tough season also, because we know the Premier League is always tough, but we are going to do well.”

Caicedo can’t wait for “another level” in Europe

There is one thing that Caicedo will be doing this season that he wasn’t doing last season – playing in the Champions League. The way he spoke about that showed just how much it would mean to him:

“It’s a dream come true and I am looking forward to it. It’s an amazing feeling when you are watching on TV. You can feel it is different. Everybody in the whole world is watching you. It’s another level, and now we are there, we want to do really well.”

He deserves to play at that level, and we can’t wait to see him up against the very best.
