Uruguay face Brazil in a hotly anticipated Copa America quarter-final in the early hours of Sunday morning (UK time).

How did Uruguay and Brazil make the Copa America quarter-finals?

La Celeste have a rich history in the Copa America, a competition they have won 15 times. But this was the first time they have got through the group with a 100% record.

Uruguay have won 10 and lost only two of their 15 matches since Bielsa took charge and look capable of beating any side at the tournament.

Their 1-0 win over the USMNT was achieved with minimum fuss and very little danger to their own goal.

Uruguay are likely to be unchanged after Bielsa resisted the temptation to rotate his side for the final group game, even when their quarter-final place was already assured.

The veteran former Athletic Bilbao boss has made only one change to his starting line-up during the tournament, with Nicolas de la Cruz replacing Giorgian De Arrascaeta after Uruguay’s 3-1 win over Panama.

Maximiliano Araujo was stretchered off midway through the first half of the USA game following a head injury, but subsequent tests have shown no problems and the attacker has been declared fit to face Brazil.

Dorival Junior’s leading options to replace suspended Vinicius Junior are Manchester City-bound winger Savio and Real Madrid-bound striker Endrick.

The former was Brazil’s lone bright spark when he came on as a substitute against Colombia and selecting him would not unbalance the side as much as if Endrick, who scored in three consecutive pre-tournament friendlies, were to get the nod up front.

Otherwise, the five-time World Cup winners will be unchanged with no injuries in the camp.
