The 19-year-old is highly-rated at Spurs, with former player Jermain Defoe recently talking up the teenager as someone he expects to make his mark in the Premier League in the future.

However, given the quality Ange Postecoglou has in midfield, Hall has struggled for game time for the senior side.

Stoke City keen on Tyrese Hall loan deal

Therefore, a loan move has been suggested, with previous reports claiming that Stoke were looking to bring Hall to the Bet365 Stadium.

And, it appears they could get their wish, as the Sky Sports Transfer Centre (12:36) has stated that Spurs are ready to sanction a switch for Hall.

They say that the feeling is that Hall needs game time to help his development, and there is interest from clubs in the Championship, League One and the Scottish Premiership, so it’s by no means a certainty that he will make the move to Stoke.

Stoke need to have a productive end to the window

Mark Robins has enjoyed a good start to life at Stoke, and you would expect them to kick-on under his guidance moving forward.

But, in the short-term, he will know that they are among a host of clubs who are nervously looking over their shoulder as they try to avoid getting sucked into a relegation battle.

So, the squad does need reinforcements, and it’s clear they are short in certain areas.

Many observers would agree that the Potters would benefit from some more creativity in the side, and Hall is the type of player who could bring that composure and quality on the ball that they sometimes lack.

Obviously, it’s a step up from U21 football, so he is a risk in that sense, but the talent is there, and Robins has a good track record when it comes to developing youngsters.

But, as outlined above, there is competition to land Hall, but you can see why Stoke are trying to bring him in.

From the fans’ perspective, they will hope he is one of several new recruits that arrive before the deadline, as the squad could do with some more new faces, which Robins and the recruitment team are no doubt working on.
