In a recent report, Calcio Napoli 24 stated that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Napoli defender Amir Rrahmani as a target for this summer transfer window. It has been mentioned that Spurs are eyeing a move to bring the Kosovan centre-back to North London this summer.
Rrahmani had a solid campaign at the Naples club as he helped them secure the Serie A title earlier this summer. The Kosovan defensive ace made 39 appearances for the Italian club last season, netting one goal and earning three assists in various competitions.
The 31-year-old was a rock at the back for Napoli as he made 39 tackles, 43 blocks and 27 interceptions for them in Serie A football. He was even excellent when distributing possession from the back after completing 91% of his attempted passes in the Italian first division (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Naples club will expire in the summer of 2027 which could make it difficult for Spurs to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Rrahmani is a tough-tackling defender who can read the danger well to secure the ball back for his side on the defensive end of the field. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot and is also proficient at playing his way out from the back.
Standing at 1.92m, the Kosovan sensation can use his robust frame to dominate the opposition attackers in the air. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the high intensity of the Premier League if Spurs manage to get him on board this summer.
Rrahmani would bring more bite and steel to Tottenham‘s backline. He has what it takes to secure a regular first-team place at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 31, Rrahmani has still got a few good years left in him to play at his best. Therefore, Tottenham should consider going for a defender of his quality if they want to compete across all fronts next season. However, he would only serve as a good signing for them in the short term.
