Tests confirm Barcelona ace remains uninjured and good to go for Sevilla clash | OneFootball

FC Barcelona have had their fair share of injuries to deal with this season already. Despite those difficulties, however, La Blaugrana have managed to pull through thanks to Hansi Flick’s tactical inputs. However, it would still be greatly appreciated at Barcelona to see all injured players return to the field.

Fortunately, many of them will be doing just that right after the conclusion of the international break. At least three key midfielders, namely Gavi, Fermin Lopez, and Dani Olmo are all expected to return against Sevilla in La Liga in what will be the first game right after the break concludes.

However, the latest set of international fixtures brought with them a sense of worry for Barcelona. In the game between Poland and Croatia, 36-year-old forward Robert Lewandowski was the victim of a hard tackle from the Croatian goalkeeper which even resulted in a red card for the latter.

Clearly limping after the game as a result of it as well, doubts within Barcelona began to creep up. Fortunately, however, that was the final game that the Polish internationals had to play for his country during this break and he has now returned to Spain already. However, the club wanted to run some medical tests in order to confirm the severity or nature of the Polish striker’s condition.

Now, as per Javi Miguel, there is some great news for Barcelona. Medical tests have ruled out any injury in his case and it has been confirmed, reportedly, that it is simply a severe bruise on his right tibia. In other words, it will likely not take him too much time to recover and get back to his full strength.

Moreover, the player is reportedly good to go for the game against Sevilla and his participation does not seem to be in any immediate danger. While it remains to be seen just how willing Hansi Flick will be to allow the Pole to feature in that game, he should be okay as long as he progresses with his recovery normally.

This news will come as a great sigh of relief for the Catalan giants, especially after the entire issue with Lamine Yamal and Spain. Now, however, it would seem that two of the team’s most important players will be okay to participate in the game against Sevilla but some things remain uncertain.

In terms of how many minutes either of the two forwards are going to be able to play remains a complete mystery for now, however. Ultimately, the final decision will rest with Hansi Flick and his coaching staff, who will likely take suggestions from the team’s medical experts as well.
