Stoke City have reached an agreement with Bastia to sign Lamine Cissé (22), according to a report from Marc Mechenoua. Following an agreement between the two clubs, the striker has now travelled to England to complete a medical ahead of being confirmed as a new signing for the EFL Championship side.
The 22-year-old will sign a 4-year contract at the Bet365 Stadium, pending medical tests. Stoke have agreed a fee in the region of €2m, with a further €500,000 in performance-related add-ons, with the Corsican to secure the services of Cissé.
The Frenchman had a successful Ligue 2 campaign last term. Making 31 appearances in the French second division, the forward scored 9 goals and registered 2 assists. Cissé is the second Frenchman to join Stoke this summer after the second-tier club confirmed the signing of Steven Nzonzi, who returns to the Championship club after a ten-year hiatus from the former Premier League outfit.
