Roma will not be extending the loans of several players on their roster.
With the season winding to an end, Roma want to make use of the forthcoming months in order to revolutionize their transfer strategy and complete a major overhaul of their squad.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Giallorossi’s primary objective will be to slash the wage bill and terminate the various loans they acquired over the past season.
The newspaper reports that the likes of Sardar Azmoun, Rasmus Kristensen and Dean Huijsen are guaranteed to leave Roma at the end of the season.
Azmoun in particular was linked with a possible stay in the Italian capital, but ultimately the Giallorossi came to the conclusion that the buy option included in Azmoun’s deal was too high (€12.5 million) and thus the Iranian striker will soon return to his parent club, Bayer Leverkusen.
