Sampdoria are targeting a move for out-of-favour Inter Milan goalkeeper Andrei Radu this summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews. The broadcaster note, however, that the Romanian’s wages could prove to be an issue for the Ligurian club.

Sampdoria are still considering their options in goal for next season.

Last campaign, Inter goalkeeper Aleksandar Stankovic was on loan with the Blucerchiati.

However, Stankovic’s loan ended. There was a purchase option that could also have become an obligation had Sampdoria won promotion to Serie A.

However, the Ligurians failed to win promotion, going out to Venezia from the playoffs.

That does not mean that Sampdoria do not want to bring Stankovic back. Reports indicate that they are trying to sign the 23-year-old on another loan deal.

However, SportItalia reports, there would also be another Inter keeper who Sampdoria have an interest in making their Number One next season.

Sampdoria Interested In Inter Milan Keeper Andrei Radu

According to SportItalia, Sampdoria are also targeting Inter keeper Andrei Radu.

The 26-year-old Romanian international looks very likely to leave Inter this summer.

Radu is out of contract with the Nerazzurri at the end of next June, so they will certainly be aiming to sell him on a permanent basis rather than loaning him out again.

Last season, Radu was on loan with Bournemouth in the Premier League. However, he received very little playing time for the Cherries.

Previously, Radu had gone out on loan to the likes of Cremonese and Auxerre. He had also spent two seasons on loan with Genoa.

And Genoa’s city rivals Sampdoria are considering a move for Radu this summer.

However, there would be one major obstacle that could make it difficult for the Blucerchiati to sign Radu, reports SportItalia.

The 26-year-old’s wages would be high for Sampdoria. Therefore, they would hope to negotiate a wage reduction in order to bring him in.
